7G1 was banded as a 3-day old chick on the Missouri River near Bismarck, ND in July 2015. It was observed on the breeding grounds in 2016, '17, '18 and '19. In those years it was observed on alkali lake near Turtle Lake, ND and later back on the Missouri River near Washburn, ND. This is the first sighting of it away from its breeding grounds.
